Internet Directory of Unit Studies
This page contains a
list, roughly arranged by subject, of links to unit studies that are
published on the Internet.
A Community Supported List
This is a community-supported list. This means that the list will grow
and improve as people (like you!) make contributions to the list.
- If you find new units that you'd like added to this list, send both
the link and a title so that we can add it to the list.
- If you find that a link to a unit doesn't work, and are able to find
the unit again at another address, send us the broken link and the
corrected link.
- Send your additions and corrections to us
via email.
What About Broken Links?
Every unit study included in this list existed when it was added to the
list. Unfortunately, when the owner of the page that is linked to either
closes the site or moves the page, then the address to that unit study
no longer works. Unfortunately, this happens with alarming frequency,
and sometimes unit studies are lost as result.
It also causes a conundrum for us. Should we remove the broken link?
Or should we leave the link present and hope that someone (like you!)
might find the unit again and send a corrected link? We generally opt to
leave the broken link in place and hope that some one will find and
report the corrected link. As a result, you may find that some links no
longer work. If you are able to find the missing unit, please let us know
so that we can correct the link.
Example: The link to a unit that you'd like to look at is
www.somesite.com/unit1.html, but you find that it doesn't work.
You go to www.somesite.com to look around,
and find the unit has been moved to www.somesite.com/units/unit1.html.
You send the broken link and the corrected link, and this directory can then
be updated. You're glad that the broken link was left in the directory,
because it
provided a clue that helped you find the unit again. Others benefit
from your great detective work. Your mayor recognizes your contributions
and awards you a key to the city. The state legislature names a day
in your honor. ("Key to the city" and "day named in your honor" not
guaranteed.)
